It's Love

How did the humble Fall Colors get asked to open for the fabulous Rose Melberg? We don't know and we're not asking. For those of you not familiar, Rose is best known as the songwriter for genius K Records bands Tiger Trap and The Softies. Since moving to Vancouver, BC more than a decade ago, she's played in the band Gaze and released some spectacular solo records. She'll be bringing along fellow Vancouverites Kellarissa. Not to be missed!

MCBF and a guy in a green shirt

The Multnomah County Bike Fair was every bit as fun as we had hoped although I hope it marks the last occasion that I say, "Sorry I missed so many chord changes. I was distracted by all the clowns." There's just no way you can top an event with the magical combination of beer, really dangerous bike tricks and tiny hats. Oh, and I got told I sing like Chrissie Hynde and Grace Slick! And thanks to Heath, Fall Colors producer extraordinaire, we now have our first pictures of us playing with Jess. Says Heath:
Y'all were rad. I got some of it on digital space. Sorry I didn't get any good pics of the entire band...that weirdo security guide with the random story about Sly and the Family Stone showed up in a few too. I got another bunch too. Pick and choose. Thanks for playing!
There's a picture somewhere in the bunch of Jess playing, with Sly security guy slacking. Funny.
Check our Myspace pages for more new pics.

1990s show canceled

We just got word that 1990s canceled their entire U.S. tour for reasons thus far unknown so June 11th at Berbati's is off. Being a huge fan of John McKeown's former band the Yummy Fur, I'm bummed but, hey, you probably didn't even know we were supposed to be playing this show until just now, right?

The Latest

Here's a quick update while I avoid doing my French History term paper.

We finally have a CD! It's 8 songs recorded by our awesome friend Heath Berg, much beer-fueled mayhem ensued. Copies are $5. We sell them at our shows, if you don't live here email us and we'll tell you how you can get one. Of course, if you know my mum she's probably burned you one already.

Thanks to everyone who was willing to stay up late on a Thursday night for our show with our friends The Mint Chicks. The Mint Chicks are great, aren't they? Also, did you know that in Japan they have caretaking robots? Really, they do:
